Meeting a prerequisite through the short course

After completing the short course, students who need to meet an ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ course prerequisite can register for a free ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ entrance test. Achieving the required score in this test can be used to satisfy most biology and/or mathematics prerequisites at ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´*.

These tests are offered several times throughout the year at ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ campuses, with availability varying based on demand.

Please note: Completing the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ mathematics and/or human biology entrance test does not guarantee admission to an ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ degree. Applicants must meet all entry requirements, including achieving the required test score for their chosen course, to receive an offer.

*The mathematics short course does not meet prerequisite requirements for study in Faculty of Education and Arts mathematics degrees, for example teaching degrees in which you wish to major or minor in mathematics.

Enrolments open in September

Enrolments for the short courses are not yet open. They will open in September 2026 and you can begin any time after that.

If you're completing a short course to meet an ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ course prerequisite, you can register for a free ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ entrance test to demonstrate your readiness for entry into your chosen ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ course.

You will need to complete this entrance test before the application deadline for your course of choice. Entrance tests will be held on:

• Thursday 3 December 2026
• Tuesday 12 January 2027

Some courses have limited places and may not be available in later offer rounds. If you wish to be considered in the main round of offers, we recommend you complete the entrance test on 3 December 2026.
