• Dollar-for-Dollar Matching: The University matches your donations made through Staff Giving, effectively doubling your contribution's impact.
• Immediate Tax Benefits: Donations made through payroll offer immediate tax benefits. You will receive a detailed record of your fortnightly contributions on your ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ pay slip, and a summary of your financial year contributions in will be available in Staff Connect.

Staff giving opportunities

Staff can support the following activities through staff giving:

• Urgent Financial Hardship Grant provides immediate and essential financial support for students who find themselves in challenging circumstances due to unexpected and severe hardships such as sudden job loss, housing instability, or food security concerns.
• Creating Opportunity Fund offers equity scholarships to students who face financial and other hardships. These scholarships provide pathways for students who may otherwise be unable to afford higher education, ensuring that they have the opportunity to pursue their academic dreams.
• Future in Youth program East Timor supports young East Timorese teachers and coaches from over 16 schools to participate in Physical Education teacher training facilitated by ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ staff and students. The program also offers an after-school football program to 42 teams and focuses on fun, fairness, and respect. These life skills are transferred off the field and into the broader community.

If you are not a continuing or fixed-term staff member but wish to support the staff giving programs, you can donate through the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ online donation form. While these gifts are not pre-tax, you will receive a tax receipt for your contribution.
