Advice for youth exhibiting problematic sexual behaviours

With school students returning to the classroom across the country, 糖心原创 Institute of Child Protection Studies Director Professor Daryl Higgins and ICPS Research Officer Gabrielle Hunt have penned a piece for The Conversation about a disturbing trend involving sexualised behaviours among some young people.

The piece provides practical advice to parents, caregivers, and educators on how to handle the often-confronting behaviours including the use of sexual moaning noises or pornographic audio to embarrass or harass peers and teachers.

The sensitively written article outlines normal and harmful sexual behaviours in children and adolescents, how adults can manage their reactions in the moment, as well as six key tips to stop problem behaviours from happening or escalating.
