
Dr Paul Taylor (MA Liturgy [UND], MMus, PhD [糖心原创]) is currently Assistant Director of the 糖心原创 Centre for Liturgy and Organist and Director of Music at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bendigo, VIC. From 2012 until 2022, he served as Executive Secretary of the ACBC Bishops Commission for Liturgy and of the National Liturgical Council before joining 糖心原创 in 2023. He has served in Melbourne Archdiocesan agencies as a liturgist and musician since 1993, worked as a choir member and organist in a number of Melbourne parishes. His doctoral dissertation (2010) explored the ministerial and congregational singing of chant. Paul’s professional responsibilities include organ accompaniment, choral training, editing and online formation.
His interests in liturgical music included membership of the editorial committee of Catholic Worship Book II (2016) and a term as Organist and Director of Music at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne (2015-2019).
